Villain was 37/17/5.6 w/ BTN steal 28% over 242 hands. I called pre because they were raising wide, and I was planning to outplay them postflop. I know a lot of you will say fold pre... you're right imo, just called here for whatever reason I can't remember.
How is my line post flop?
Also, this is a 6-max, so the hand was on the bubble.
If we bet 300 on the turn, the pot on the river would be 1050. Villain remaining stack would be 1300. We bet 500 and we have an easy call if he make a raise. That is why I said, bet bigger, it would have made things easier. Don't know what he has but I would call anyway. I mean, we are the chipleader by far, we call with 76o pre and then we fold with trips? To a board that not even has many draws except for a backdoor flush and a straight. We even have a 7 so is less likely he has 87. I don't know, me might have JJ+ and be thinking he is ahead with that. We are beaten to 22,99, TT and 87 only or a bd flush.
river fold seems fine. even if hes clearly awful its pretty ambitious to have him turning ace high or some QJ bull**** float into a bluff when the world gets there
Fold > shove > call pre. Bet more on the turn. Probably call the river because he shouldn't have the few hands that beat you and should more often have JJ+ or something weird. It's anyway my policy in STTs never to credit backdoor flushes and I think it's a decent one.
