Bad call? was he just big enough for me to let 7 high go? he did double up and later he did give me a few walks so maybe this hand had some influence on his fairly high ( for he seams reggish) hu open fold. He did get above 10 bb in fact he did get to a big enough stack size to raise fold. If this is a loose call can we somehow factor hes future open folds in somehow.

Fold pre with 75s, it's in the bottom 50% of hands and I seriously doubt he's shoving worse than top 45% anyway. That includes things like 96s. You have 10x his stack, just fold and shove any A, K, pair or two cards higher than an 8 next hand

This is for sure a call, d'on't just look at this and be like oh I have 7 high that sucks. 75s has relatively good preflop equity and that's what matters. Btw he doesn't need to shove 45% for this to be a call not even close

edit: Get an icm calc that isn't sng wizard and do these spots yourself. Much more informative/beneficial to your game than asking 2p2 these simple spots. If you're playing $15s you can afford a few months of HRC/ICMizer no problemo

at 4.9bb its a *sigh* fold though

hahaha only joking..
Seriously snap call. As said above, 75s has great equity against most hands.

thank you that's the sort of tipping point I was thinking of.

As regards to hrc yep I just got 2 years subscription, im just not very good with it yet. ill have to put aside time to really play with it. its just I don't get enough time for poker itself. but ill have to make time for this as im sure it will be invaluable.

I mean I import a history and look to see if there are any -ve plays and look at what range hrc suggests for that spot.

but theres lots of hands it doesn't give the ev of. I guess I have to assign a range for the opponents action for hrc to give decision on these spots. but I have little time and really only have one or two hours to spend on poker a day so have been looking at the easier to analyse spots. But I take your point im finding time to post on forums so should be able to find time for this.

You should really look up a nash chart so that you have a baseline for spots like this. When you're under 6bb, equilibrium push/fold is pretty much always optimal.
