1.5$ Turbo SnG. Odd hand any thoughts? 1.5$ Turbo SnG. Odd hand any thoughts?

Hiya ppl, anyone can share their thoughts about this hand? The villain is a loose passive player. Few hands before this one started calling very widely and showing off hands when forced ppl out of the hand. I thought I'll float flop and try to make him fold his 9 or Ace high on turn as I thought that's what he had. On river I was committed anyway esp when I hit top pair on board.

I don't like your plan. You identify someone as loose- passive and then want to bluff him, and then continue after he shows aggression.
Either you totally misread villain or got lucky you caught him right when he went on monkey tilt.

And even with your plan, you had to shove on the turn.

you were very lucky for the hand to end this way, besides many errors on the way the shove on the river seems like the worse of it.

The main reason you open here to call MP's jam and fold to shove to everyone else.

Dont see any reason to cbet. You can bet out Ax but mostly youre folding out hands you have beat.

Mircrobet ITT talking poker; mind blown. He speaks the truth though.

I tend to agree with the guys above me. On the turn you radar has to be going off that something isn't right when he calls your raise. Most of the time it means you are beat by a a mile and the player just doesn't have the confidence to go all in. This time the guy happened to be bluffing, but at this level players tend to telegraph their hands a lot.

I'd recommend trying to make it at least a 3 bet pre-flop. 2x BB just looks weak most of the time (like 90% of the time) you can just come over the top and expect a fold. He was BB, only 160 more to him so he wont care most of the time as he has 3k+.

3x pre is going to commit you to a call if shoved over by the bigger stacks, the 2x is fine utg. If you're going to make a play at this hand shove over him otf or ott, don't try to play poker with someone who doesn't understand what he's doing. You're also never going to get a loose passive to fold a 9 btw.
