You miss a lot of value flatting preflop. A 3x with 12 bb is a strong bet and your 3bet preflop will be called by most of his hands since his opening range should be kinda tight. Flop play is standard but you shouldn't get here like this. There is no need to be tricky versus $0.50 opponents. Make hand and bet it.

How much do you reckon i could 3bet pre and get him to call/shove most of the times(im not so familiar with 3bet sizing, i know ur thinking 'wtf'). Also how much imput does a persons image at the table have on my 3bet sizing with AA/KK?

Thanks for the help dude, appreciate it ALOT!

You've read one too many poker books to play $0.5 sng.
    Forget image, forget outplaying people.
At this level you will crush playing ABC with good hand selection.
When you start playing at least $7 level, then start thinking about poker - which it sounds like is what you want to do.

What Colin said. Pretend you are a boxer. Right now, you are in your first month of training planning for a 12 round fight. Instead, you should be learning the fundamentals of betting, hand selection and standard lines. Learn the basic combinations and later you will know when it is a good time to deviate from the standard. You have plenty to learn with the 3 above.

I think when you learn anything new, it's very easy to get attracted by the bright lights of what the top guys do on TV, fancy bluffs & clever slowplays etc, but honestly look at the very top people in almost any field and you'll find rock solid basics that underpin everything else that they do.
It isn't glamorous, but it'll make you effective at everything you do.
Basically, without the foundations, your house ain't worth sh*t.
    GL dude
