There is hope for the south.
You got to watch out for those generalizations.

Being from the south does not always equal bigot.

Google says 17 outed player/coaches. 3 USA players and the US coach.

Wombach
Rapinoe
Krieger

Are all from the planet Lesbos.

This is the link.

I would've thought at least 50%.

No Asian or South Americans on the list. Only Euros Aussies and North Americans.

This I know Doc. No offense meant at any body, it just seemed ironic to me - especially in a week filled with backlash about SCOTUS same sex marriage ruling and calls from all over to stop displaying the Confederate flag and resulting furor over that(local radio station had a call-in segment and most people were defending the flag).

And of course LOL sample size on my googling.

We picked up the EOS SL1. Other than 18 vs 24 megapixels, specs don't seem that much different than the T6i. Does the T6i allow you to charge the battery in the camera?

Also, is there any reason not to use a micro SD card and adapter versus the full size SD card? I want to be able to slip the card into my phone to send pics.

Full size SD cards will have more storage, faster transfer speeds are are cheaper (in general), but in reality a lot of those are not going to be much of an issue for non-professional photographers.

I'm just shocked they were watching soccer of any kind.

(You're talking about soccer, right?)

Heard it was football, thought it was the blue/red summer scrimmage?

I've gotten into watching the Women's World Cup games. I can do all kinds of other things with the game on in the background and still not miss anything.

This World Cup has been really exciting. The women dive and complain way less which makes it more watchable to me.

I like to watch major sporting events alone so I won't be bothered but I might go to the bar and get rowdy with a bunch of other USA#1ers

That's why I love baseball. Perfect game for the radio.

Let's assume I can legally play on pokerstars in the fall. What game should I look to play? What's the LHE landscape like? Is something like a ****load of 2/4 and 3/6 tables beatable?

Uncle Sam shipping you overseas?
Where you headed?

You could ask our very own CoreySteel about the state of Stars LHE.

You'd be lucky to get a "****load of 2/4 and 3/6 tables" running at any given time.
Usually between 8-12 tables of 2/4 running at peak hours, and 6-8 tables for 3/6.
Right now at 12:30 EST, 2 tables of 2/4, 1 table of 3/6, and 1 table of 5/10(currently the biggest game running, and that's probably just because I'm playing in it).
Games are definitely beatable pre-rakeback still, although probably not for much.

Interesting, but unfortunately it's irrelevant b/c stars said no to play from Kuwait. Id be interested to see if someplace like Germany would work, though, because there service members can live off post.

I bet the living off post has pretty much everything to do with it. having a foreign address + bank account i know is needed.

Germany is fine, though I have switched to playing microNL, since LHE had become quite a regfest and I was basically breaking even over a year (huge upswing beginning 2014 - poker is EZ biatches, huge downswing end of 2014 - eff poker is the devil). I am sure .5/1 LHE is still quite ok.

So I'm going to be in Vegas for a few days, staying at the Aria hotel. Looking forward to this rare opportunity to play some live LHE. Would appreciate any guidance as to tipping etiquette (I read some of the Tipping containment thread but it's a mess). I doubt I'll be playing higher than 2/4. Cheers.

I usually tip a buck per won pot that saw a flop. Maybe more for a very big pot

This is what I do.

And also, make sure you know what games are where. Staying at the Aria is one thing, but finding limit hold'em at the Aria is something else.

That magazine article is depressing reading for an LHE player. Are there places in the US where live LHE is reasonably healthy?
07-21-2015 , 06:13 PM
yes, mainly los angeles california (multiple options) and then scattered places elsewhere that usually have one casino with good lhe: san francisco california, las vegas nevada, minneapolis minnesota, middle of nowhere connecticut, atlantic city new jersey, denver colorado, phoenix arizona, etc
07-22-2015 , 12:30 AM
I don't know if y'all venture into Med Stakes Limit but there is some amazing trolling going on in the current NC/LC thread about a thread being locked where a guy posted a fsdr and named it after himself
07-22-2015 , 03:05 AM
Oh so that's what C bids was referring to in my 77 hand. I had no idea what he meant.

And hopefully soon to be Massachusetts. I'll gamestart if I have to, with $1/hand rake ofc.
