I'm here for my biennial visit.

sup? Nice tr. I'm not sure I will ever visit Montana, but I guess it's a possible. Are you still in Seattle? I'm still where I am but moved to another house. Actually I think Babar visited since then.

The last time I played poker was live and maybe 3 years ago in Vegas? It's hard to get out! Our oldest is now 17. She was 6 when I discovered online poker. So a friend in town suggested we play some live poker, but we have to drive 30 minutes to do that, and one of those is a mere 1-2 tables in a smoke-filled Indian casino. But then like yesterday I got an email from carbon poker (I withdrew $60 from there like 4 years ago). It offered a $20 free casino bonus (no deposit reqd...35x...forgot exactly what that means), so I played black jack for several hands today and I ended up about even, so I am sitting at a $.10/.20 table and like woah I need a hand chart lol. Then I thought about 2p2 and here I am. Also haven't played chess much. One of my friends I'd play chess with died tragically a year ago. Anyhow I have played a lot of tennis in the past year, so that's something!

Cheers,
Buzz

I recently googled my undertitle and all I got were Hillary websites. Plagiarists!!!!

Whaddup guys? Gonna be in LA soon, who there, Babar?

buzz,

hi buzz! seattle was two moves ago. sorry to hear about your friend; was it the guy i played a few ridiculous games with?

also, if you haven't figured out preflop by now, forget it.

bella,

hi bella! la sux, but you know that.

btw favorite sign i've seen on this trip: "hillary and obama lie and suck" (foxton, co) IN B4 POLITARD BAN

Tyler, I don't recall the games, but he was a pretty straight decent+ player and was 1600 on RHP. Yeah I figured out preflop just a bit rusty! And nobody is on carbon. Like a dystopic wasteland fallout from UIGEA and Black Friday. I think they just took rakeback away which is why they gave me "free" money which is now getting raked back. Wait maybe rakeback still exists.

Holy Cow it's a hot one out there today, stay hydrated Doug!

Probably not when you really want it...

Also, You might check out bootstrap. It really spiffs up a website nicely, and it's free. It has css & js tools that are very neat.

bovada is definitely the best option (both for limit holdem and for any other game they spread - lo8, plo, plo8, nlhe, mtt/sng). second best option at this point is america's cardroom (acr) which is a skin on the winning poker network (other main skins include black chip poker and true poker) - they have a bit of limit holdem, lo8, and some stud and stud8 (as well as nlhe, plo, plo8, mtt/sng). bovada got rid of stud and stud8 recently for some reason. carbon traffic is very low, yeah, but they are still taking new signups just like bovada, wpn, and all the rest. swcpoker (formerly seals with clubs) has a bit of mix games and random stuff not found elsewhere. the rest of em basically are just nlhe/plo/mtt/sng

and yeah the site looked dated the day it went online - i'll check out bootstrap

Bitcoin poker is the ****. They have basically everything but wild card games. Just need players to fill the seats. Also, the chatroom is unlike anything I've ever seen on the internet.

Because it's actually friendly and not full of people claiming "rigged"?
07-27-2016 , 01:59 PM
Oh they still claim the riggery has done them in. One guy yesterday was saying the guy who beat his ATo with KQo was using a "rungood boomswitch."

There are some very friendly people there too. One in particular has staked me on numerous occasions when I was busto. I'm currently in the process of running up a 2 chip stake into over 390 chips. /brag

6/12 on swcpoker was off the hook today. It was a fun crowd and a great game. Suffice to say that I now have 1.275 bitcoins in my possession.

Does anyone know where I can play microstates (even play chips would be fine) limit o8? An app would be ideal, but I looked and didn't find anything...

My local casino is running a limit o8 tourney next month and I'd like to brush up. Players I've seen in the semi-reg running game have been lolbad (as you'd expect).
08-10-2016 , 11:43 AM
Pokerstars.net for play money. Cash games at least; never looked for O8 tourneys.

sup micros ?

Oddly, back down to the WL prop bet final weight. Seeing some stuff from you on Strava. Kerowo is hiking away in the down of town.

How are you?
09-03-2016 , 04:02 PM
You've definitely been putting in the miles - looks like a good season for you. I gave up on the road riding and switched to mountain biking but it's been so damn hot here that I haven't put in the miles. See Kerowo still plugging away. I've been trying to drop the 15 that I've put on since last bet...not having a ton of success. This fall is looking good for being active though.
09-03-2016 , 07:31 PM
Had a bad winter where I lost the desire to go out in the cold, possibly Minecraft related, and am struggling to get back to my WL start weight. On the plus side, doc says all my numbers are good and going in the right direction. Maybe we should run the bet again this winter?
09-05-2016 , 10:04 AM
We had a really wet spring here(May was 24-25 days of rain) and a really hot/humid July and August. Couple that with building myself a new garage, and the summer hasn't been all that active for me. I wish I could get back on the road bike regularly but since losing a good friend to car vs bike a few years back I haven't felt comfortable on the road.

I'm motivated for this fall and winter though...we are planning another western road trip next fall and I want to do some hiking and mountain biking while we are out there.

I've got a weight loss bet going on right now with a friend, but haven't made much headway. The good news is he weighs more than when we started with a week left.

Might be interested in doing something with you guys again.

Last fall, one of my biking buddies talked me into getting a cyclocross bike (gravel grinder). I've put over 3K miles in on dirt roads. That's nice because we have a good trail system that avoids roads, so I'm spending a lot less time sharing roads. On the slightly sad side, even though strava reports me near pace for 7K miles, time/effort wise it is probably more like 9-10K. The bike handling skills are really improving, as well. We've ridden dirt, mud, snow, and ice over the year.

Will follow you guys from afar. Pretty happy maintaining at this point. Not really thinking that dropping 10% in 3 months would be either doable or a great idea. It would be no fun, at best.

Do want to thank all of you. The inspiration of the bet definitely got me back on the bike, raised fitness, and inspired me to drop a chunk of extra weight. Without you guys, those things were much less likely.
