Seriously , even tho i would make a lot of money on her and i really liked her demeanor, i really hope i will not see her again...
She should spend her " probably hard gain money" differently , like the slot machine with a better chance of winning some money.
Bah, guess i will in time get a thicker skin.
Yup the games are harder but easier psychologically online imo
Some people like to play poker for the social aspect. Even if a player is a very bad player, while I'm taking their money I try to make the table as fun as possible. I want my opponents to enjoy the experience, even if they lose. I tell jokes and laugh and try to keep the table in a good mood. And if someone puts a bad beat on me, beating me with an unlikely river card, I am happy for them and I congratulate them on winning the hand. While I win more than I lose, I try very hard to set a good example and be a good loser when I do lose. When people leave the table, I wish them a good day. Often I'll shake their hand when leaving and say I enjoyed playing with them. When someone joins the table, I say hi to welcome them.
Who knows, maybe one of the old ladies had her husband die and she would be very lonely sitting by herself at a slot machine. Make sure she has fun while playing poker with you. Maybe also she is a millionaire, so losing money is meaningless to her.
I played with an old retired guy once who started playing more poker after his wife died. He was awful at poker, but a super nice guy. I didn't change my strategy against him (playing good poker is what I find to be fun). He once said he had lost 15 trips in a row. Then, he had a winning day while sitting at my table. I was very, very happy for him.
Other benefits of this happy attitude is that you will be in a good mood, and also you will keep the fish happy so you'll even make more money.
