Having played some FR micros NL, you can win just being a nit and trying to stack donks. You're playing fewer hands and making many fewer decisions per hand. I'm not sure you can beat LHE games with just a starting hand chart these days.
That said, it doesn't matter. It isn't about skill required, it is about skills you have at present. If our OP is playing NLHE in SNGs and has little LHE skill, he should just play NL.

Makes no sense to me. LHE isn't the training wheels version of NL to be tried first. If our OP wants to play NL at year end, he should just play it now. LHE isn't useful for a guy who wants to play NL. I'm guessing the uNL forum is good, too. /thread
