QQ sb - river question?

Here i have QQ in sb and make a standrad raise and a standard cbet on a dry board, noone shows strength and just coldcalls and i continue on turn since noone shows strength? If i get raised here i will call and checkcall the river - toughts on this? Now i still dont get a raise against me but the rivercard shows four to a straight, how should i play the river?? Villains kinda unknown, but my read is loose/passives

Re: QQ sb - river question?

I tell you something those games are fishtastic, reminds me of low stakes back in the 2004 era.

Again I agree with your play , pretty standard. I think you should bet although I don't like the 10, I still think betting the river is correct. I think there is a very good chance we're ahead at the turn and the flop isn't very condusive to a 9 in hand. I think if we check the river and it gets checked through we lose a lot of value.

With 7 players on the flop I'm tempted to go for the c/r. But that would depend on how passive the other players are. Did you bet the flop because you thought a c/r would not work?

As played, I bet the river. If they are really passive, then I think we can fold to a raise, even with the large pot.

Trying for a c/r here is FPSy. Just bet your hand, you'll get plenty of value from loose calls.

Agree with this.

I think you should c/c river, and get him to bet bluffs. I don't think that we are getting worse to bet there, and I think a T can hit some of his range.

Fair enough, I thought this over some more and I agree with you.

I was initially thinking about trying to protect our hand since we are OOP and there are 14SB in the pot on the flop. I think the better plan is to b/3! if for some reason it's raised behind us? Or maybe there is no way to really protect our hand and just keep betting until we have a reason to slow down.
