Re: was the pot played correctly ?

What were you thinking during the hand? The important part is why and not what.

Re: was the pot played correctly ?

his bet on river looks more of a flush which he may be playing when he donk with flush draw & was waiting for a turn raise

this was my thought so i decided to fold

is it the right approach against aggr. player ?

Walk through your thinking on each street from the flop on. Why did you raise the flop? Why did you check the turn?

I raised the flop to charge him for his draw & once he got his card on turn i thought he was waiting for a check raise

after my check on turn he bet the river to get the value so i folded

It sounds like, once Villain donkbet the flop, you were locked into the idea that he had a flush draw. Did you have a specific read on him that he always had a draw when he donkbet the flop? (And even if he reservied all of his donkbets for draws, why couldn't he have a straight draw such as 76o?)

My interpretation of the flop donkbet, against an unknown Villain, would be, yes, now that he's donkbet, the chances that he has a draw just went up. But some players will donkbet 5x or 4x or Tx or a PP or even Ax or even air. I think you'd need a very good read on Villain to know that he always has a draw when he donkbets.

A good reason to raise is for value. For the record, though, a flush draw with two overcards to your 7's such as 9d8d (in other words, a 14-outer against your hand) is actually a (slight) favorite over your 7h7s with two cards to come.
