Widen? Don't you mean narrow? Don't people here usually just cold call their strong hands?

i mean widen because i feel that people in a 2 cent game are going to be capable of doing a lot of different things with a lot of different hands.

Seems fine. You only lose to 2 hands and 1 is unlikely given PF (AA). If he has the SF, more power to him.

@ Kektek .
NH Given the stakes I would not be shocked if 1 of your opponents hand Kx here and was playing it like the nuts and if you lost this hand to a royal so be it you played the hand well imo.

Re: *The Official "Standard, yes?" Checkup Thread*

Thanks for the feedback! The hand happened pretty fast and I was just slamming the raise button thinking I only lose to AA (which seems unlikely considering the preflop action is pretty passive). Didn't think of the straight flush until you guys mentioned it, so that's why I post. Also wanted to make sure all those raises make logical sense.

Re: *The Official "Standard, yes?" Checkup Thread*

Yeah, it would be a sin not to put in the max # of bets for fear of the two hands that beat you (which are just a single combination each). The only question would be whether to do some kinda FPS smooth call on the turn to ensure SB/UTG stick around, but I think it's almost never correct to do this.

With 5 people seeing the flop im thinking someone prob has the flush so wouldn't just calling the flop be better? Flop raise seems like spew?

BTW this thread seems like a good idea. I have been thinking about getting back into LHE but haven't played in ~3 yrs.
