Re: *The Official "Standard, yes?" Checkup Thread*
i dont mind chk back turn with some frequency against a lot of players but would prefer it without the Q as it puts us in tough spots on Q rivers
as played everything else is fine, i do cap if he 3bets the river

Depends, imo. Against a few types of people, I think it's okay, but I'd check back against the majority of opponents.

He's new to the table, but posting UTG, all that calling, and the stakes makes me think he's a loose-passive. The turn bet seemed at the time like a reasonable semibluff, but I wasn't sure, so I saved it.
Edit: if this needs its own thread, just delete the poast, and I'll start a new thread.

sorry what?
im asking if he is betting with the intent of folding out KQ and weak pairs, or if he is betting with the intent of getting a call from weaker Kx hands etc.
if he is really peeling the flop ultra light then we can chk back and induce a river bet. there arent many players we can 3 street KJ hi against on this board. otoh that really is the best card in the deck for us to value bet because all his broadway is obv peeling again if it peels the flop, along with hands like 75.
if he has a lot of pairs here and we think he is going to show them down a lot then we could possibly just save a bet and check back and fold rivers ui, raising Js and tanking Ks. otoh if we think he can fold weak pairs a lot then the semi bluff could be profitable

Re: *The Official "Standard, yes?" Checkup Thread*
I'm pretty sure I misplayed this one, but I'm also still learning how to think about odds correctly.
Poker Stars $0.02/$0.04 Limit Hold'em - 9 players
2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked
MP2 posts a big blind (1 SB)
Pre Flop: (2.5 SB) Hero is MP1 with T T
3 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, BTN 3-bets, 1 fold, BB calls, Hero calls
Flop: (10.5 SB) 6 K 2 (3 players)
BB bets, Hero ??
I only have 4 hands on the BB (75/0/25) but I'm guessing he's got a king here, possibly a flush draw because he cold-called the 3! pf. I don't think I have the odds to call even at 11.5:1, but maybe with implied odds?
