You Talk to Fatties (extracted from Scams thread)
Good thing I was away from the keyboard, that guy really pushed my button with his "fatties choose to be fat" stance. But I've cooled off now, 1000-word post averted.

Wrong thread. What does this have to do with airplane seating?

Hate to derail the thread, but this is an accurate stance - unless you claim some otherworldly force is shoving food down your gullet while your brain and body protests.
I used to be fat because I'd eat a disgusting amount of terrible food. When I chose to stop this I stopped being fat. Same goes for tons of other fat people. I only had to lose 80 pounds - but someone like say, this guy ( http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...3&postcount=34) had to lose a lot more. He makes some posts on the subject of how he lost weight and it was basically eating less.

Well I'm right, so there's that. Don't want to derail this thread trying to convince you why you're fat and no one wants to sit next to you on an airplane but if you want to write down a list of your weekly diet I can show you why you're a fatty.
If you want to go about life just being a fatty and not accepting responsibility for it then that's your prerogative, but don't complain that people don't want you around them in many different close-quarter settings, not just airplanes.

I'm also pretty sure that there is nothing illegal about discrimination against fat people.

He can know about it but still be in denial about how he is responsible for his gluttony.

It makes it worse that he's done it before being that just means he mentally chooses to be a fat. Look at JP OSU, that is ****ing impressive and proves that even the most obese can turn it around if they are mentally strong. He's just weak mentally and won't take responsibility for himself.

There is some sympathy in that there is a difference between people in how much pleasure food gives people. Fat people typically get much less satisfaction out of each bite of food, so they eat more. So it's somewhat of a component out of their control, but it's nothing that you can't overcome. Besides the extreme cases. I think there is some disease where kids will literally eat everything they can find and pretty much have no control over it. Obviously they cannot be blamed for their obesity.
I'm slightly overweight, but I know it's because I eat too much and don't do enough activities. I've lost weight before and it's just a matter of eating smaller portions. I'll neglect that because I like food, but don't let myself get completely out of control. If I creep near the upper portion of my "acceptable" weight limits, I'll cut back, and the weight drops off. Sure, it sucks I can't enjoy eating as much, but it's a choice I make one way or the other.

If I recall correctly from another thread, breakfast was an omelette, bacon, and toast w butter, while lunch was 2 sandwiches with cheese/mayo and chips. I can't remember dinner but it obviously doesn't matter.

Re: Everyday Scams
the whole fat thing is dumb anyway, because certain people are going to be pre-disposed to being fat.
there are thousands of thin guys who eat like **** and never gain any weight.
i know for myself, who has struggled with weight my whole life (even when i was 5-10 180 in HS i was always "the fat one"), if i dont eat like a bird and exercise all the time im just gonna gain and at a minimum not lose weight.
i went from 310 to 215 over 8 months once, and even 215 is still considered terribly overweight for a 6 ft tall person. as soon as i stopped my "diet" which consisted of nothing but small portions of eggs, fish, chicken, veggies, tuna, no bread, pasta, soda, fast food, etc- i put on 25 more pounds and settled in at 240. and that was still without being a pig- but just eating normal meals, bread once in awhile, and some more junk type foods rarely (namely during football season- have some wings, or a couple slices of pizza).
people who have never been fat just wont understand what its like.

No there aren't. It's impossible to eat at a huge caloric surplus and not gain weight, or eat at a huge caloric deficit and not lose weight.
Fatties are notorious for being atrocious at estimating/recording actual caloric intake and expenditure.

You don't have alien friends, you just can't know how much they eat all day every day because you're not with them all the time.
