This is due to our propensity to homophobia in this society. Mores and norms dictate that males should not find other males attractive and to do so is faux paus.
A numerical rating system for women only works for you because you know what you find attractive and you know what the opposite if that is for you. Since your not allowed to find men attractive it will be hard to form a scale with which to rate them.
This the furthest from a natural bias, it arises from decades of homophobia enforced through mass media and institutions of society. It is in fact a form of bigotry.
I think dudes are hot and I am hetero I just have shed that particularly bias
