I was listening to old stuff on Spotify, with headphones, and suddenly it was clearly can. And the Kilimanjaro rising like Olympus is clear too. Maybe AM/FM radio is the culprit for most of these misheard lyrics!

I think saying can't just sometimes sounds like can unless you really enunciate the t sound at the end.

Well it's supposed to rhyme with "trunk", so I figured it was "drunk".

But "when he's on a drunk" made no sense to me. I thought it was "when he's all drunk".

I guess there are no official lyrics since the authorship is unknown. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hou...the_Rising_Sun

Dylan sings "on a drunk" as well, it's easier to hear in his version.

"Loblitas" has been a running joke between me and two of my best friends ever since.

All of the lines that start with "love will lead us," my friend heard as "Loblitas." That's not a word, but it's pretty damn funny, at least to us.

For most of my life I assumed the lyrics in "Winter Wonderland" were "In the meadow we can build a snowman. and we can pretend that he is possum brown". I figured possum brown was a color.

The I saw the actual lyric is "Parson Brown"..and I had to look up the meaning of Parson. Have never heard that word used anywhere other than this song.
