I actually had a dream not too long ago that my sister forced me to play a game and she was able to manipulate everything around me. I didn't know if what I was experiencing was real or if she was just making it appear. It just had a terrifying feel to it.

I kept waking up briefly and trying to scream to keep myself awake, but I physically couldn't scream. My mouth would open but only a small groan would come out (Waking up and trying to scream was real, not part of the dream).

Then my eyes would just shut again and I would fall back asleep. The last time I fell back asleep, I heard a voice say "You can't go. You have to let it take you. I have to take you." When I heard that I was able to get enough energy to wake up and sit up so I wouldn't fall back asleep.

This is the only time I remember having any type of paralysis and physcially not being able to wake up.

Has anyone ever had a dream where you're in a fight but everything you do is in ultra slow motion? I often had a dream when I was younger, where everything was normal pace, but when I'd try to throw my arms it was like I was trying to punch underwater. Ridiculously frustrating.

Another was one where I was running away from something, I never knew what it was, but I was running away as fast as I could. The dream always ended with me getting to the top of a tall building/cliff and being so scared of the thing chasing me that I'd just jump off at full pace. I'd always wake up just before I hit the ground.

Sleep paralysis is scary af.

My father died from anaphylaxis while mowing a lawn. I was in South Korea at the time and hadn't seen them for the last 6 months of his life. Should go without saying that I had a series of pretty brutal dreams shortly after his wake and funeral especially given the way he looked at the open coffin. Props to the mortician for making him look somewhat recognizable.

I had a dream where a bunch of people were telling me about their dreams.

Paranormal with an aggressive spirit/poltergeist/demon in one or two houses I've lived in.

Problem is I have two pets and one always dies because I can not save them both.

I wake up with a sense of loss as if a love one died and it doesn't go away for a while.

Swwiinn..I have the same experience..I would be chased by something(usually some monster)and I am trying to run as fast as I could but my actions are in slowmo..so.. the monster would always catch up and I would have to fight it..

It def is frustrating.. I have the bruce lee+ninja fighting ability in my dream but the damn slowness make it all ineffective. Cool thing is I actually learned how to fly in my dreams so I do get away from these villains time to time.

If I could never dream again I would be ecstatic, I have PTSD from my time in the Marines and it's ruined the awesomeness that is great sleep.

Sometimes I'll be laying down and I guess I've been sleeping and I'll kind of halfway wake up with total sleep paralysis and as I am drifting off back to sleep I will realize that I am sleeping in a bad position and somehow the blood flow to my brain is constricted and I know with 100% certainty that if I fall asleep again I'll die so I have to force myself awake.

I've had similar dreams where I'm fighting a group of like 10 guys and I'm not moving in slow motion, I'm actually pretty quick, but my punches just have zero effectiveness. Like I am just wailing on this guys face repeatedly and he's not feeling it at all. He's not dodging or blocking. I'm hitting him dead solid right on his nose.

I've also had repeated dreams about banging some chick (different one every time, but usually someone I know), usually in public or right in front of people I know, like my parents, and the moment I start to penetrate I wake up

Sleep paralysis is ****ed up. Had an out-of-body experience during one time that I woke up while in sleep paralysis. Felt my body rising in the air from my bed. I kicked out of it pretty quickly which was a good thing because I was freaking out about this happening.

Sometimes you gotta just lose that life.
