What is your favorite Comedy Movie? - Page 8 - Other Topics Forum - Discuss Pop Culture, Arts and Entertainment

Start a thread with best comedies from each decade, only one vote for the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000- present. Then tally them all. I would be willing to start the thread and keep count if anyone is interested.

Do this

But have 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and separate 2000s from 2010s

So 30s through 10s...each person can post 1 comedy per decade (can skip decades they don't have any for)

Yeah I know Jordan Beaufort (spelling?) isn't a fictional character but I still think the movie deserves the label of a comedy.Cool Runnings is based on a true story but it's still a comedy and I think that also applies to TWoWS.

It's not a big deal but when I laugh my ass off at a film for 3 hours I can't really call it anything else.

dirty work is amazing.

bunch of great movies listed so far.
groundhog day, lebowski, super troopers, office space, kingpin, so many great comedies.

but def think my all time GOAT is dumb n dumber.
movie is just perfect n so brilliant.
south park bigger longer uncut is also pretty incredible.

dr. strangelove is right up there near the top for me as well.

2 really underrated comedies i absolutely love that seems like not many ppl have seen:

drowning mona
death to smoochy.

I try to avoid trailers and commercials of movies I plan to see. The premise sounded good, but Seth Macfarlane just isn't funny. Lots of fart and poop jokes, I might have thought it was funny when I was 14.

Office Space, Swingers, Airplane!, Meet the Parents

Movies like Animal House, The Jerk and Caddyshack are tough for me. Well I thought they were hilarious at the time, I don't get much of a kick out of them anymore. Airplane! is almost there. So it's hard for me to rank old movies with movies that still crack me up.

Came to post Fast Times at Ridgemont High, but then remembered The Kentucky Fried Movie. So many ridiculous skits/quotes. Just refreshing my memory at IMDB had me cracking up..
