It amazes me to see this kind of passion from someone about anything. I literally got the chills listening to him while not being able to relate at all to what he is talking about.

This may turn into a race discussion thread, or it may turn into a thread about getting goosebumps, or it may go somewhere else. But what I want to know is... what moves you?

Is it something like this link? A person describing their (or another's) experience with big fancy words and awkward speech patterns? Is it a football team lifting their injured quarterback up to finish the final play? Is it lovers coming together after a seemingly infinite time apart to share a longed-for embrace?


Sidenote: I have seen MLK's I have a dream speech multiple times, and sometimes I'll get a chill right at the climax, and sometimes I wont (thats what she said). Not sure why this one got to me each of the 3 times I watched it.

Maybe it's a question that requires some contemplation.

Maybe people genuinely haven't figured out what moves them.

Maybe, like me, they looked at your edit note and they're sitting here feeling embarrassed at finding themselves looking at this stupid, ****ing flickering screen rather than doing what moves them every possible moment. And maybe, like me at first, they've quickly clicked away to "oh, my, that's a delicious looking steak" or "at least I'm not that insufferable, oblivious, manipulative ****-person from Texas", so they don't have to look at the uncomfortable reality of what they're presently doing, and to acknowledge what a monumental waste of this all too finite life having vicarious experiences through strangers on a forum is.
