I basically told this lie too.

I had two classes back-to-back in the same room. I was super hungry and not paying attention at all, so I decided to skip the second one. I ran into my professor on the way out of class. He asked where I was going and all I could think of to say was "I have to go do something."

Later I emailed him and told him I had some digestive problems and had to go back and change. I would have just said **** it, but I needed this guy to write some grad school recommendations for me. Fortunately he did and they were stellar.

Yeah, I've told that "lie" too.

My mom found a package of about 200 empty dime bags in my nightstand back in high school.

I told her I was starting a button collection.

I had a deadline for an essay at University on a Friday. One hour before it's due in and I'm nowhere near finished. I go home, finish it over the weekend hand it in on the Monday and tell the course director I was late finishing it because I discovered a lump in my testicle and was worried sick. No questions were asked.

Not an exact lie but i once was assigned four weeks work experience with a printing firm. The manager told me what i would be doing was sitting in a little office by myself and going through his database (roughly about 4,000 contacts large), phoning them up and asking them if their address and email was still the same.

Since i was alone in the office and it was positioned in a way that i could clearly see through the glass if anyone was coming towards me about 30 seconds before they would reach me, i spent the entire month watching netflix and playing minecraft. Never phoned a single person.

I once flipped over a busted straight and said "straight".
The other players didn't notice and I scooped the pot.
Been paying for it karmatically ever since.

I maintained for years that I only shot the Sheriff, when in fact I also shot the Deputy.

Kinda harmless lie but on my hockey team there are 3 guys that are brothers, anyway, if we're out drinking or just some social activity and some person ever asks how we know eachother, we all maintain that I am one of the brothers too, there are people that we occasionally hang out with who 5 years later that still think its the truth, hehe....i feel like its gone too far to suddenly tell them its all a lie!

Was suspected of being high at school once. I denied it until the end and said that it was physically impossible for me to smoke weed since I had asthma.

-Didn't really have asthma and they knew it, confirmed it with my soccer coach.

-They confirmed that I was infact smoking by some dumb b**ch who saw me smoking the joint and followed me back to school.

-Dude I was smoking with got expelled for the rest of the year, while I was only suspended a week!

-Kicked off the team and they made it to playoffs
