Seeing as this is a forum based around poker players, I thought it might be interesting to hear about some of the lies people have told, both poker and non poker related.

I'll start with one I've told but I don't think its too special. Although the person whom I'd told it too probably thought it was the most special moment in her life. "I love you."

Pretty simple but I'm sure others have been there, lol.

So, OOT what's the biggest lie you've ever told?

That is a very interesting lie—would read again.

I told a girl I enjoyed the movie 500 Days of Summer.

I told a girl that I would tell her when I was almost ready.
She spit it in my face and I got a little in my mouth.
I immediately understood her lack of commitment.

one time i told someone to go fish when i really did have a 7 in my hand

I once bid my brother up to 7 No Trump with 4 points because he ate the last of the red velvet cake.

Telling myself I am a good poker player.

Hypothetical:

1)Man is killed in Virginia who you are known to hate
2)You live in New York, but were in Virginia the night he was killed, for reasons that would sound implausible or are too hard to explain
3)You did not kill the person

So you lie to the police and say you weren't in Virginia in the first place.


All the biggest lies I've told are THIS TYPE of lie. Though none are coming to mind. Actually that's a lie, I just still am unwilling to come clean, lol.

It was definitely to a girl, but I'm not sure which lie I've told was the biggest.

I wouldn't. Odds are they will find out and then it will look even worse for you.
