Re: Twitter

"It seems to be a major time commitment"

This is the last thing it is FFS.

Do you have any idea how little time it takes to read 140 characters?

With a cell phone, it takes like 30 seconds or less. Or use Tweetdeck or Twitterfox or some other app and it's pretty quick. Going to Twitter.com is actually one of the most time consuming ways to post and even read Twitter.

Re: Twitter

Moreover- you're under no obligation to tweet or anything. You share when you feel like sharing- it's pretty simple. Many people only follow and never update.

"Ron Burgundy thinks it's dumb!" should be Twitter's advertising campaign.

Re: Twitter

Opened this thread just to see Dids' recommendations for TweetDeck. Already made my twittering much easier. I can def. follow more people much more easily now.

I'm @nath_on_fire btw. I try not to be mundane.

as has been mentioned you don't have to tweet to avail urself of the twitter service

anwyay, i do enjoy the evangelism for twitter, since i enjoy it myself, but it is really nto for everyone

-there's a social networking aspect, which blows but obvi some ppl like it and use it for it (usually in tandem with fb / myspace)

-the informational micro-blogging service is for thsoe who probably already usee an rss reader and subscribe to alot of blogs

- celebrity stalking is also another distinct group with overlap with the above groups

i think if u don't fall under one of those categories u won't get much out of twitter at all

Also, is there a good tweetdeck-style app, or other good twitter-reading app, for the iphone?

Re: Twitter

I use Tweety since a couple sites said it was best one. I like it, $2.99 though.
