I'm a white Jew where would I go in prison? I've thought about this and I began to reason that the blacks would be most accomodating to me as we have the most in common.

OP thanks for posting this. props to you for surviving this BS. no 2 ways bout it u got screwed by these bastards. u should have been sent to minimum sec from day 1.

g gordon liddy said it best when talking about prison guards -- they are complete jackas ses.

the prisoners are scum also

it would be cool to have superhuman powers and get sent up (think of aquaman or batman). mister california would be walking around in a perma brain fog with every ligament and tendon in his body looking like string cheese on a hot phoenix summer day.

The Illini schedule gets tougher next year, which sucks. The crazy thing is Illinois should've been a bowl team this year. They outplayed Ohio, Indiana, Penn St, Wisconsin, and were in great shape verse Purdue. The fumble issues, inexperience, punting game, and weakness at left tackle really hurt. All of these things should improve. Hopefully, Zook will have a good kick returner back the whole year instead of just the last few games. With the number of big play potential guys the Illini are bringing in, the return game should be huge.

I expect a low bowl game next year and competing for the Big10 crown (but falling short) in two years. The future is bright and I think Zook is going to make it big at Illinois do to his recruiting and strength at developing the defense, despite his below average game coaching.

All you hear about prison is being raped, amazingly every person I have spoken to that did time in prison has never been raped. Good thing if you where not. A lot of people I have met that where in prison had massive drug problems but where functional druggies. If someone has a spider web tattoo is this indicative of having done time in jail? Good read by the way very interesting. How was the food god awful or edible?

Most of this thread is 4 years old where you were saying your job prospects aren't great.

Are you still playing poker for a living?

MyTurn2Raise - Very interesting thread and very well described. I'm from Chicago and did 33 months myself (Federal time for a white collar financial crime). I got moved around to different states and the two things that made my time go by was also Chess & Poker. In the federal system you find a lot of big "Bawlers" with deep pockets. My last 12 months literally flew as I would spend all day playing $1-$2 NLH lol. I did get to meet and befriend some infamous people "inside" because of poker.

Anyway, glad to hear you've been drug free for 10 years + now! Congratulations and good luck on the 9-5 search.

OP awesome post! I was doing the same thing before getting clean & sober. Instead of jail, my bottom was of another nature.

Congrats on the 10+ years, that's something to be proud of. Reading something like this on a poker forum, of all places... that's so freaking cool

Didn't know there was a prison in Vandalia. Is the one in Greenville a max security prison? I've driven by that one many times, and I never see anyone outside, even though it looks like it could double as a military base.

I think this is the most interesting read i have saw in 2+2.
Good luck to you in life!I think this kind of thread should be sticky in some place,so the young guys who are making illegal stuff would realise what they are facing after getting caught.
