Told to take my hood off at Little Ceasers. Told to take my hood off at Little Ceasers.

Hey guys,

Went to Little Ceasers today to pick up a 5 dollar pizza. Walked in the door and the manager was sitting by the main window talking to an employee and he addressed me saying " sir you have to take your hood off". I asked "I have to take my hood off? why?". He looks down for like 5 seconds like he didn't hear the question then says "just thought you should know". So i said ok and walked out. On my way home i was wondering if i would actually be denied service. So i turned around and went right back to the place. When i walked in the manager came to the register so i asked him if i am going to be denied service. He says no. So i ask him why would he tell me i have to then. Then he goes on talking about store policy and whatnot for employee saftey/cameras, cant see my full face. This whole time they are wearing hats and visors. So i bought the pizza anyways cuz i was hungry and craving a little ceasers pizza. I'm pretty confident if i tried to buy the pizza the first visit i would of been denied. But coming back and putting it the way i did i think he realized how ridiculous this could turn out so allowed me service. Will not be going back there again. True story.

If the store or chain is having security issues, then this is not an unreasonable policy.

Exactly how ridiculous could this have turned out if you had been denied service?

The manager ought to be able to stab you with a gladius if you don't take off your hood imo. Try hitting him with a trident?

The store policy appears to be that you get no service while wearing a hood, unless you insist on wearing it, in which case you do get service while wearing a hood. The goal, I think, is to discourage non-serious hood wearers, but if you're serious about wearing a hood you're going to make the manager sad.

As a compromise, try a ski mask next time. The manager might not mind the ski mask so much. Especially if you explain that you're an avid skier.

5 dollar pizzas are a privilege, not a right.

Wow. Bunch of dicks. Owning/operating a business that pays taxes AND they have the audacity to think they can have policies in their OWN business!?

I would snap-file a lawsuit. Those evil businesses, right? We should take then over like the evil insurance companies.

How would i go about this?

Also im the kind of person that would give the proceeds to the ppl being discriminated. Is there a national hood-wearer association? Of course i wouldnt have a problem taking out fees for the pizza/gas.

There was a little pain and suffering but thats the sacrifice for doing whats right.

Return the pizza to them in a brown paper bag after you are finished with it, if you know what I mean.

gunth - Go ahead and walk into your neighborhood bank with your style and see how they react. Pull the hood further over your head and also slap a mask and add a large trench-coat for extra fun.

I have walked into the bank wearing a hood and was addressed by a banker sitting at her desk with "hello". I turn to look at her and she simply stated "sorry was kind of nervous you wearing a hoody and all". She never said i have to take it off. And a bank is a little diff. of a story than little ceasers, kind of, but not really.
