In all seriousness, the potato is a massive weapon in a heavy drinker's arsenal. It will fortify your stomach and allow you to take your drinking to the next level. Drink a decent amount of water and have at least one large baked potato a couple hours before you start drinking and your preparedness level will be excellent. If you can't do potatos, a big bowl of pasta will give you the carb goodness you need. The best drinking sessions of my life have been based on potatos.

the fat will be splitted in tiny parts in the stomach, and these tiny parts will connect to the alcohol and not let it get to your bloodsystem (for up to 12 hours).
at least this is what we used to do before visiting the oktoberfest.
neuroman, you're just wrong. A meal with plenty of fat and protein will slow the absorption of alcohol, carbs will not. So, OP, do that.

This is also true. OP, have something like 4 beers 2 nights before, then 6 beers the night before, and you should be relatively primed. This happens because some of the liver enzymes used in metabolizing the alcohol are upregulated in response to alcohol consumption, so by drinking the day before, you increase your liver's alcohol capacity.
