I have the same problem with t-shirts, medium is too small and large is a little too big. Thinking of starting a t-shirt brand called Largeium that will only offer one size.

These guys are complaining they can't find socks that fit, I don't figure they're shopping anyplace fancier than WalMart or JCPenny...

Extra-medium rolls off the tongue better IMO.

Most of my socks fit right or left.

My friend got a ticket for this in a fairly quiet residential neighborhood with ample parking.

I got that ticket years ago. They had to check the other box on the ticket and write in "left to curb"

When my parents call me for no reason, like "what are you doing?", "what's new?". Oh please stop it!

Wait until they die. You will then miss those calls.

This is one of those things people do that make me feel superior to them

Driving around a lot to find a good parking spot is the worst, and a lot of people I know do it. I'm completely in the camp that parks in the first fairly close spot and don't give a flying F if it means walking an extra 75 feet. What's surprising is most of the people I know who drive around looking for that one "sweet spot" aren't FATS.

That my mother seems to think the optimal time for such calls is 11am on weekdays.

Parking spots - I knew a girl that would just stop in the lane close to a door she wanted to go in and wait for a close spot to open up. She was a fatty.

I was sufficiently militant about this in college that a number of friends invited me to brunch and had a prop bet amongst themselves as to how many times they could drive around the block passing up parking spaces until I lost patience and jumped out of the car. Answer: two.

In my world , if you don't park in the first available spot , you might be driving around for half an hour until you find the next spot.
