Re: Things that shouldn't piss you off, but do.
The Mexicans seem to rename everything...even our food. This shouldn't piss me off, but it does. The Spanish word for "hamburger" is "hamburguesa." In response, I think we should rename Mexican food in English. It's not a taco anymore, everybody. It's a tacington (pronounced "TACK-ing-tin").

Does it bother you that things have been renamed in English, or do you just hate when The Mexicans do it?

Yeah b/c Knight Rider makes so much sense to native English speakers.
I take offense b/c a movie title is a proper noun and I don't want it ****ing changed. I don't mind calling Goodfellas "Buenos Muchachos" because that's basically just a direct translation. But don't ****ing call Home Alone "Feliz Navidad, Kevin Gonzalister!" or some ****.
You can't tell me they couldn't translate My Girl to "Mi chica" because it wouldn't make sense. I mean they called it "My First Kiss" WTF?!!? RAGE
The only reason I can see for a complete rename is if there is already some established Spanish film with the same name. But it seems they do it for every title - even ones in which there is no way there is already a Spanish equivalent.

As a member of several right-wing fringe groups, of course not.

of course it doesn't make sense to an English speaker. the point is, it doesn't confuse us to the point where our heads explode. if something is even just slightly outside the box, a spaniard will break down and call for his mama.
i agree with you though, it's stupid.

If it makes you feel any better, most Americans horribly pronounce those unchanged Mexican food names.
And you realize that there are other countries besides Mexico that speak spanish. Like SPAIN for example.

Yeah, I don't know what I said that made you think I thought otherwise. My point was about Mexican food but the language is still called Spanish.
Boy, people gettin' sore about this one. Hit a spliff y'all. My point is just that in the US we have tons of ethnic food, and generally speaking we "keep" the native names (or pronunciations anyway) of these foods whether it's burritos, kung pao, or korma. But for some reason the reverse is not true (and yes I know the hamburger was not invented in the US but it is a staple American food that is most commonly associated with the US). That's why I thought it'd be an amusing concept if we responded by endeavoring to give foreign foods the most blue-blooded English-sounding names possible.

When I turn my blinker on super early to be courteous and the driver waiting on the road I'm turning onto still waits until I turn to make her turn onto the road I just turned off of.

Re: Things that shouldn't piss you off, but do.
I was taught to wait for the car turn also. If you pull out and the driver goes straight (if his blinker was accidentally turned on or if he just changes his mind) and hits you then you're at fault.

Yep. Back when I had my learner's permit, I almost caused an accident doing exactly that. Guy had his blinker on and was slowing down, so I assumed he was turning into the lot where I was. Nope, he was actually turning into the next lot up. Good thing he was alert and was able to stop in time.
