What worked, lying about the price of items displayed? They got me! They should hide a bag of Doritos behind some boots and just put up a $1 sale sign instead, would "work" even better!

And define "worked". Nothing was purchased, mostly on principle.

I had to google to see what they're called. Was a bit shocked tbh that this term would still be commonly used. Probably shouldn't be though as I've heard shockingly racist things said here in Australia. Quickest way for me to put a person in the POS category.

Oh. Well it essentially comes from taking things personally, and people do it all the time. In order to understand it you probably need to bring yourself to want to actually murder someone by ramming them with your car or have some psychotic redneck try to go Mad Max and force you off the road for about 5 miles. Probably just a matter of time until you get it.
