Was talking to some friends about certain things that I will always buy the best of no matter the price difference. No part of me understands why people would not buy certain higher quality items

Some of mine include:

TP
Paper Towels
Regular bath towels
windshield wipers
hotel rooms
mattress

What are some items that you guys never go cheap on?

The hotel room i kind of explained. But mattresses for sure. I spend nearly 1/3 of my day sleeping on it so ya, I dont mind spending more on it. Especially given the lifespan.

Ugh, cheap powder laundry detergent that forms little clumps in your clothing. Growing up that's all we ever had, so I thought this was a normal property of all powder detergent until I was in my twenties and bought real Tide (on sale).

Any condiment/food item where the savings for buying the no-name version comes out to pennies per use. Pay the extra dollar and avoid crap ketchup/mustard/salad dressing.

I disagree. In fact it can be argued that socks are the most expendable piece of clothing there is. Nobody sees them, nobody cares about seeing them, I don't think you can say a difference between cheap and brand socks when wearing them.

My socks are marked with an L and R! The downside to that is I can't wear a left and a left because it doesn't feel right.
