No way it belongs in a movie the way it is. It would only work on TV and has a really good "origins" storyline where Supergirl starts out 12 years older than Superman but then it gets reversed.

Superman and Jimmy Olsen are over 30 with the latter already being a Pulitzer Prize winner.

Available on Youtube. Probably leaked deliberately by CBS.

Geez, maybe I suck at searching youtube but finding that pilot is non-trivial.

Tons and tons of noise/fake videos

Simply go to youtube, type "supergirl", then set it to more than 20 minutes. It is a good show - deeply cerebral with good amounts of twists that build on the Superman story.

The key number is: 12 (this is a spoiler)
Oh no man I'm totally spoiled now as to the key number being 12 I don't even know if I could watch it now because that's such an incredibly important point that I'm sure the show obviously must revolve around it.

I don't think I've been more disappointed to be spoilered about a number in a show since I last watched Sesame St and someone told me it was about the number 4; totally ruined the episode for me. (obviously Sesame St is aimed at a much age bracket but still)

Call me the ultimate skeptic, but if I find "Supergirl" to be deeply cerebral, it will most certainly be time to put me down.

I just watched this and it's on par with the CW superhero stuff - with one caveat:

Spoiler:
They couldn't say SUPERMAN. They referred to him in almost every scene, but called him "the man in blue", "my friend" or "my cousin". So tilting to me. I don't see how they could produce this series without the rights to at least speak his name.

It was fun campy IMO and covered similar ground as The Flash learning to use his powers. If Daredevil is your standard, you won't care for it.

If Daredevil is your standard you may as well not watch any other super hero TV series.

Supergirl is on par with the Flash and Arrow. Nothing wrong with that.

There is a Christopher Reeve era Superman feel to it.

Nothing wrong with appreciating the Adam West Batman either. It was what it was and a classic. Stop the Daredevil comparisons.

LOL Seems flawed to not have the rights to at least mention Superman, for a show drawing from his story.

I'm assuming they shot the pilot way before the rest of the series was greenlit so hopefully they have it worked out going forward. They did mention Metropolis and the Daily Planet.

I haven't seen the pilot, but I did read another online discussion of the show where someone else made the same complaint, but then a bunch of people pointed out

Spoiler:
they say "Superman" early in the show, then refer to him by his many other nicknames throughout the rest of the episode. That is fan service on an uber geek level.

So I can't be 100% certain, but I'm going to preemptively say "LOLU"

Buffalo,

Just confirmed

Spoiler:
they refer to him as "Superman" in the first 3 minutes.

So I would like to with 100% certainty now declare "LOLU"

But did they just mean he's a super man....

This wasn't absolutely amazing, but ya'll hating on this baffle me. This was on the same level as the Flash pilot. And the Big Boss battle at the end made more sense. SFX are acceptable, especially for a pilot. The showrunners know their audience and cater to them well. Plenty of humor and feelgood moments. A few "c'mon son" moments, but whatever. The Flash has plenty of those, too, but is overall a terrific show.

If the pilot is the low point for this series, I am looking forward to a full season.

This show wasn't all that bad compared to non Daredevil superhero TV shows. Feels like it would fit perfectly as a CW show. For a pilot looks like they spent a decent amount of money on it. There were a few awkward parts but all in all I don't think it deserves much hate.

In case any of you don't already know this, Melissa Benoist was a fappening victim. Her photos are VERY explicit.

Thanks for ruining things for me. Now I'll never be able to look at this Supergirl as the innocent girl next door cutie that I used to see her as.

I'm no longer looking forward to the first season of Supergirl. And I'm definitely never going to Google Images just to type "Melissa Benoist nude" ever again.

Darn it!

Monday, Oct. 26, 2015...

8:00-8:30 PM THE BIG BANG THEORY (Original Episode)

8:30-9:30 PM SUPERGIRL (Series Debut)

9:30-10:30 PM SCORPION

Big Bang is a 30 minute show with an average of 17 million viewers. CBS wants Supergirl to succeed and I think it will.
