I forgot my great-grandma used to hand wash paper plates and re-use them. She wasn't poor, either. She was like 32 years old when the Great Depression started though. I think my mom said she still kept cash under her mattress. She died in 1993 at near 96 years old. I never met her daughter (my mom's mom) - she died in her 40s like 15 years before I was born. But I remember my great-grandma very well.

lol wtf. Hey I think it's pretty cool I grew up knowing someone who was born in the 19th century! She told tales of riding in a car in downtown passing people in horse-drawn carriages. Then as alzheimers set in she told grander tales that probably didn't happen.

Yesterday my sister messages me that the car was stalling at stops so my brother-in-law took it to the dealer to get checked out. Turns out to be a problem with an air sensor(?) and it was going to cost around $500 to fix. I said get it fixed and the final bill is $575.

We never discussed who would be responsible for repairs while they had it so I just want to get some input from an outside party who should pay what.

The car was given to me by my dad. He didn't want to bother selling it and thought I could get some use out of it. I own a truck that I use for work so I really didn't need the car, but it's nice to drive for non-work trips.

He said it that way because a lot of people, you certainly, would have had a hard time keeping "great-grandma" and "grandma" separate in your "brain." No offense.

Alot of "people" wouldn't "be" able to "separate" grandma and "great-grandma" in "my" brain"?" So "your" saying "I" think most people "wouldn't" be "able" to separate the "two"....I don't "think" that "at" all.

Perhaps you should re-read what you wrote. It clearly says "In my brain a lot of people would have a hard time separating grandma from great-grandma."

Another thing, am I being bullied? Is this bullying? I thought you didn't like bullies? I guess you have no problem being a hypocrite though.

Can somebody set up a fund for me?

I'm not correcting your grammar...I'm saying you're wrong. You said "I think people would be confused over grandma/great-grandma", when I don't think that at all. I have never given any reason for you to think that I think people can't separate grandma/great-grandma. Just the opposite actually.

Basically I'm asking why are you replying to my post, when you don't even know what your talking about?

About 469,000 dollars.
Orders a drink from a waitress to celebrate.
When waitress returns with said drink, she tosses her a five and says keep the change.
But the drink costs six.
So she stiffs the waitress.Doesn't pay the extra buck cause she is too busy with paperwork and talking to the suits to get her jackpot.
She has to come back in eight hours cause someone has to fly in from Vegas and the ballys company (who owns the machine) to verify the slot is working correctly.
But the machine attendant has to stay with the machine til this happens, so they end up working a double shift and having to come in the next day as well.
So when the tech from ballys gets there and verifies the jackpot being valid, the lady collecting 400k+ ,out of the goodness of her heart, gives the attendant a tip.
A dollar.
