I know a guy who came to our party, he took his beer cans with him when he left. 10 cans = 50 cents. Balla!

I Live on and off in Vietnam and if you only let water slowly past the meter; it wont be able to read it since its so small. My neighbor does this and when he had problems with his plumbing which required the company to take a look, he forgot to put the flow to full and they ridiculed him for it making a big commotion.

I would assume this would be the same for the west. You wouldnt get enough water to do things fast and efficient but if you collect it slowly in containers, free water!!!

Just heard one today that I thought was pretty good.

A friend of a friend of mine was giving my friend a ride somewhere the other day. When my friend got into his car, he saw a big pack of TP in it and said, "What's with that?" Friend of my friend responded, "I bought that here in MA but forgot that there's tax on it here, so gotta return it because I'm gonna be making a run to NH soon and I can get it there tax-free."

I went shopping for a few things on my lunch break, and I was in a rush because I didn't want to get back late. A guy in front of me is trying to buy a cake, and I hear him arguing because he is presenting a coupon so the cake should be $7.99. The coupon states you have to spend $25 to get that price, otherwise it is $13.99.

The arguing goes on for a bit, and the guy asks for a manager. It took a couple of minutes for one to come over, but he backs the cashier and says it clearly states you have to spend $25, I am sorry, nothing I can do. The guy is getting angrier and angrier, calling them deceptive cheaters and other stuff and the cashier who looks about 16 is looking very nervous. The guy is getting so angry spit is flying out of his mouth as he speaks.

I didn't want to agitate him but I really needed to get back to work. I said to him, hey, I have more than $25, why don't you give me the coupon and $8 and I will pay for it. The cashier gets ridiculously happy about this solution. So the guy does it, I have the cashier ring up the cake and hand it to him. He stops and glares at me. WTF? I thought I helped him.

Where is my penny? Uh oh. I only had a debit card, no cash at all. Panic ensued because he went back into rage mode. I offered to have them remove the cake from my bill and give him back his $8, and he is not okay with it. At that point the cashier grabbed a penny out of the register, handed it to me (I think he was afraid to hand it to the guy) and I gave it to the psycho. That must have been some damn good cake.
Psychopath. I don't think this qualifies as stingy at some point but still great story. I would have swore taxes would have had you paying more? Oh well.

depends on the state someone is in. not all states have sales taxes and some don't have sales taxes on certain items like food.

to the cake guy, if after you went through all of that trouble to get him his cake discount, he threw a fit over the penny, i would've told him to either take his $8 back and i'm leaving with his cake or to stfu. his original complaint was ******ed enough, the penny complaint is over the top. hell i wouldn't even want a penny if someone offered.

Today I was in a store and saw someone using a bicycle pump that was for sale to pump the wheels of his baby stroller. This probably doesn't register on the scale of the things posted in this thread, but was a real WTF moment for me.

I should probably add that his twins were in the stroller at the time. His wife was also present and an employee was was stocking shelves came by in the middle of it and he <wheel pumper> just acted as if it was everyday behavior. (In case you're wondering why I stayed around long enough to observe this scene, I was looking at light bulbs at the opposite shelf. There sure are a lot of options of light bulbs these days.)

One time I saw someone throw out a half eaten bag of chips and then someone else came along, reached into the trash, and ate the chips.

This past week I've been shorted 3c, 1c, and 1c on carryout change returns.

One of the times was a highschool kid at taco bell. Was 11c short. I said "where's the rest?" and he handed me a dime.

My Grandma once caught my Grandpa washing the Toiletbrush in the sink. He was very stingy, but to his defense i have to say that he was born in Germany doing WW2

Guy I met doing the Everest Base Camp trek camped the whole way and carried all of his own food and cooking equipment. His backpack weighed over 30kg. I can understand someone wanting to camp if they're into that kind of thing but carrying all of the extra stuff seemed a bit OTT. Just pay the extra $5-10 a day!

Unless you consider the act of using the brush to clean the bowl with the assistance of cleaning product, I've never even thought about cleaning a toilet brush.

JFC just use the water in the damn toilet to rinse it off. Just flush an extra time or two.

Is this even a thing where people wash the instrument they use to clean **** particles off a toilet in the same place they brush their teeth?
