I usually wind up feeling sort of bad about letting it go, like I just allow myself to be slighted without so much as a peep, but then the very rare times I have tried to correct a minor mistake due to principle I just wind up feeling like a nit.

Its a conundrum.
I am thoroughly convinced (80%+) that some businesses do this intentionally for the reasons you've described

Catch-22. A couple weeks ago i was charged for okra instead of mashed potatoes which are sold by the pound at Wal-Mart (in b4 lol you buy prepared food at Wal-Mart). I didn't notice til i got to the register to pay, it was probably like $1 more I didn't do anything and I'm still mad about it. Mostly because when I was ordering the bitch behind the counter was giving me all this attitude when I was asking about what they had/prices of what they had. There was no one in line and she was just standing there doing nothing when I walked up. Like, I'm sorry you have a job and have to work bitch can you at least not be overtly annoyed for having to answer a few simple questions.

My local Walgreens is the worst with marked prices being different from how they ring up. I just went with it for a while because it was only like a quarter here, fifty cents there. One day I just got fed up, and now if it is off by a penny I'm going to make a big god-damn deal about it. I've never had this problem with WalMart, Target, basically any store that is like 5x the size of Walgreens has no issues having prices match, but little ol' Walgreens can't manage it for ****. I guess that's stingy, but it just seems like a pattern of fraud on the customers at this point.

Yeah it's bad at my Walgreen's too. I think the people overseeing their SKU/pricing system are just incompetent.

Apparently new york state charges $15 a pack for smokes.. Asked my buddy to get me a carton of marly reds and couldn't because it would be cheaper back in canada. When I went to SC it was like $4 per pack - the **** is this about

When you buy a carton you smoke way more imo

meh I used to smoke and buy cartons. Maybe it added like 1 or 2 cigs a day on the days I would have had to make the trip buying one or 2 at a time but I say if you're hooked you're hooked. Maybe different if you're making some sort of half assed effort to cut back at all times.

once it's clean they're not filling it again, cooling 24 hrs/day is expensive and it's dairy

but if this were true, every once in a while you'd get charged less than you were supposed to. which never, ever happens.

Zellers in Canada will often have wrong prices scan. It works out in my favor about half the time. It is the only store that has happened to me though.

^^ No lie, there have been a couple times where I go through the drive-thru and ask for a mcflurry or ice cream and they say that 'the machine is down', but then when I go inside there's nothing wrong and they serve me my ice cream... obviously then when i complain to the manager they basically shrug their shoulders and look like they want to off themselves anyways so I don't give them any more **** in case they really do splatter their brains on the kid's happy meals.. but wtf

One of my employees will go into a grocery store and buy gift cards for the grocery store on his amex that has 6% cash back on groceries, then go outside and use the gift card to pay for gas, because it's 10 cents off a gallon when you buy gas with the gift card there.

saving ~$9 on every $100 dollars worth of gas(depending on gas prices obv.) seems like a smart play.

Number of unique products offered is a lot more relevant than number of stores.

hed probably let you if there were three or four hits left on it he could smoke later.

now that were all talking about cigarettes the guy also goes to all the ashtrays infront of stores to find butts that havent been smoked to the filter and puts them in his pocket. the worst is when i go inside a store that has the type of ashtray things with a top with a little hole you drop the butts into or whatever and when i come out hes sitting on a bench with the ****ing thing taken apart dumping all the butts out to pick through them.

apparently nicotine is a hell of a drug.
