This story is just awful and IMO should be heard by all. Hope these scumbags are charged as adults and anyone involved in the cover up punished severely.

This story is absolutely awful. The details are gruesome, and there is a non-trivial portion of the community who honestly believes the whole investigation is about bringing down the football program.

Steubenville, OH is what happens when a region's economy implodes and everyone with any education and/or ambition gets the **** out ASAP in the subsequent decades.

The video of the guys mocking the girl is disgusting. These guys names should be broadcasted on all news outlets. Public shaming is vastly underused IMO. They should also sit those guys down with their mothers live on tv and play the video. So disgusting. These guys aren't even human.

When the family of the victim went to file the charges, Jane Hanlin was present. She strongly discouraged them from filing. Hanlin frightened not only the victim, but the parents as well. Telling them that her name was going to be dragged through the mud, she will be in and out of court for well over two years, the press wouldn’t leave any of the family alone once the crime was made public. Scared out of their wits, the parents said they didn’t want that and Hanlin then said not to worry just leave it up to her and the detectives on the case.

Just terrible.

This is why we need people like Anonymous that can expose all of this stuff to the public. Without them, this probably would have never seen the light of day. Now, hopefully a lot of people are going to prison over it, including that DA.

They hacked into the website of the main booster's. They found porn pics of what looks like high school girls.

I skimmed the rest of the article past that, but I think they hacked into personal emails and twitter accounts as well.

Played at a casino in WV near Steubenville before casinos in PA opened. Some douchebag guy that always wore a Big Red hat and sweatshirt would always come in and brag about their high school football team like anyone gave a ****. Obv a super super senior loser. The sick thing is I suspect the volunteer coach who said she was making it up and trying to bring the football team down is said guy.

Im usually a calm dude, but that video pissed me off severely. I hope they all get what they deserve. Props to Anonymous for bringing all of this to light.

If you listen to the video of the confession, I'd go to 6:40 where someone points out that this was rape and the 2 other guys just laugh at it and don't care.
