So I DJ at a strip club... So I DJ at a strip club...

Ok let me address issue #1 right off the bat, obviously this thread needs pictures. In a recent measure to cut costs I had the vision package taken off my sprintpcs phone, but I can now see that was a mistake so I will add it back on and have pictures within a week.

I'd like for this to be an ongoing thread, maybe even as big as something like the Degen Thaliand thread, but we'll see about that.

All together I guess I've worked at strip clubs for about 3 years and as a DJ for 2 of those years. Lately I've just been noticing how poorly run the majority of these clubs are and I've been wondering how much it would cost for me to run my own. I work at a fairly run down club, I bet the building doesn't cost much more than $200k and everything else inside can't be worth that much (shoot the sound equipment isn't even worth $2k, lol) The owners take in $30k a week. Owning a strip club EV+

So now I notice all of these stupid things, like tonight the manager let this one fat, gelatinous cow come inside the club to do her hair and makeup before she left to go out clubbing. While she was there she talked two of the hot girls in the club into not working and going out clubbing with her! How stupid is that? Easily cost the club $100. So I see all of this stuff and I figured I needed a good place to vent. Plus I figured you guys might not only be interested in some of the more comical musings, but have your own questiosns as well that I might be able to help answer.

Stuff like how to date a dancer, etc...

And hey who knows maybe if enough of us pool our money together we can open the first 2+2 strip club, pending Mr. Sklanksy's approval of course.

Just to repeat pictures are coming soon. Anyone has any questions ask away. I work tommorrow so maybe I'll have a good entry to post.

Just so you know there's a big difference between DJ'ing for the strip club and being the boss of the strippers. If you want to deal with 30 or 40 Brandi's every night and all the drama they bring go ahead. I have friends who have been managers of strip clubs and its nowhere near as fun as it sounds.

Looking back at your post, I guess you're not honestly entertaining the idea of opening one. So ignore my pessimsim.

Either there's zeros missing, your club employs an army of strippers, or your calculations are way off.

so according to your calculations we should recover our initial investment in 7 weeks? best business ever?

How to date a dancer?

I reckon you should open a poker room/strip club. Just get everything in the one location.

How many of the girls are true slut bags and how many just dance and go home to support themselves without being labled in the stigma of most strippers

Was staying at Mandalay last summer during the Strip Club Owner's Convention. Never saw so many gold chains nestled in chest hair in my life. Each one of these dudes had brought one of his strippers as well. And there was much silicone, amen.

How can I tell which of them are also hookers and what is the best way to proposition them?

How much do DJ's make?

I dont know if you guys knew this but bouncers in strip clubs make a fortune. Here in Lexington they are making around 1200 a week. That is at the most popular place in town(Spearmint Rhino). But that is still way more than I thought they made.

yah, my friend started as a dj. then was moved up to manager, but after a year of dealing with strippers and having to be "the bad guy" all the time, he went back to dj'ing.

What does it mean when, during the course of a drunken night, a stripper talks to me for ~1.5 hours, doesn't offer a dance (receives $0 from me) and gives me her phone number when I'm going to leave?

(not so thinly veiled brag)

My Uncle owns the only Strip Club in a city called Astoria, OR. He gets a lot of **** too. The place was grandfathered in so there is no chance of another one opening up any time soon. Not like he gives a rat's ass but people look down their noses at him wherever he goes in town. Lot of bull**** goes with running that joint. It wasn't uncommon for a stripper to babysit me and my cousin's when I would visit there as a 16 year old kid. I loved that ****. He always has some down and out broad living at their house to get on her feet. For the most part they're more mature and good people living with him. He's not the kind of guy who would put up with some outta control kid's **** though. It definitely takes a certain kind of man to run a shake. Can't show any weakness or they'll walk all over you.

yeah obv it's not a fortune, but yeah not too many jobs with such low qualifications where you can make that much.

It's all cash too.

how much do you make selling drugs as a dj at a strip joint?

the strippers I know get all the best drugs from their dj.

Do you carry a gun with you? I realize you can't have a gun where alcohol is served but... Do you carry a gun with you?
