No - I get told off for spamming my blog, but it's in there. Easiest way to read through my recent posts is to use the links in the last post on my old blog site.

I've been supporting myself from the money I get paid for writing for the site I now work for, plus winning a bit of poker. But am broke now.

There are very few excuses to be unemployed for 7 weeks.

Don't you have a new apartment or something?

Also, write more if people are responding to it and you actually get paid real, live money.

I didn't look for work in this time as I was getting enough for my writing to pay my rent, and winning money at poker to pay my living costs. Well, why not? Was sick of being patronised by lawyers, so didn't fancy temping again.

Yes, I should write more. It's to my regret that I didn't write more during this period.

If I made a bet with someone to see who could get from point a to point b in a city faster this way, and they ending up dying, could I be charged as an accessory or some ****?

Re: Should I quit my desk job to become a cycle courier?

Okay been phoning around the companies and found a place that's hiring. Am going in to see them tomorrow morning.

Hope they don't notice a) I'm fat b) I'm obviously lying about how much previous experience I've got.

Wish me luck!

i DISPATCH AT A COURIER COMPANY IN tORONTO. ANY FIRM WILL HIRE A FAT GUY...A CRIMINAL...A PERVERT....MISCREANT,....REPROBATE...JUST TO HAVE THE LABOUR POOL TO GET THE PACKAGES DELIVERED.

pEOPLE ARE NOT BREAKING DOWN THE WALLS OF COURIER COMPANIES TO OFFER THEIR SERVICES.

WORD OF ADVICE....PAY THE DISPATCHER

Re: Should I quit my desk job to become a cycle courier?

Okay I bought a lighter lock that'll be easier to carry in my bag, a couple of inner tubes, tyre horns to help me take the tyre off, screwdriver to undo wheel, plus I have a pump.

The tread of my back tyre is completely worn off but the bike shop was about to close so I didn't have time to get a new one. That doesn't matter too much.

BUT Christ, I forgot to buy an A-Z, and my housemate who I think has a copy has been out all evening. I put a note on his door telling him to leave it out if he has it. I am so screwed otherwise... well, I guess I could call in a bookshop around 10am, but I start at 8am so that's a couple hours of possibly not knowing where the **** obscure streets are. Dammit. Not a good start!

A - Z is a map of bike routes through the city?

Your failure will be a glorious and sweaty one, but I'm rooting for you all the same.

I drink a bottle of sake tonight in your honour, gov.

The A-Z is the street map of the city.

Fortunately while I was sleeping my housemate came back, saw the note I'd left and put out his copy. So crisis averted.

Update to follow!
