This is probably true. The odds of coming up with 0-1 vowels randomly on a board is low but it would have happened by now and we probably would have heard about it if it were possibly. They might just throw out boards that come up with less than a certain amount of vowels.

I like weirdchess' point though about it being likely for e-r to be next to each other with just one e and two rs.

Ya, going 14-2 with 60%ers isn't THAT rare (~1.8%)

15-1 with 60%ers is about 0.3%

I don't think it's based on minimum # of vowels, I'd guess just minimum number of words possible. I would guess that any board it generates with less than 100 possible words it will automatically discard, and that this would lead to discarding almost all boards with 0-2 vowels. Just my speculation though.

Don't take my word for it but it probably isn't too late to sign up. The current season, Season 4, is about to end and the next will start in a few days.

You should immediately challenge and quickly finish a game with Curtains20. Challenge him now. He will determine which group will be the best fit for you. The league lasts 2 weeksish.

A few uys played tryout games a week or two ago and haven't confirmed their participation. If they don't do so, they will not be placed in the league. Those players are:

Lot of good players in Group 2 and plenty improving as well, although I agree I'd have expected a bit higher.

Bunch of slow ass ****ers in our league. What should I do with them? It's obviously not a negligible amount of work running this and so I just want to delete everyone who doesn't complete a bunch of games and thinks it's normal to just not say a word about why this is happening. Obviously it may not be their fault due to slow opponents or whatever but I can't read minds and no one is telling me a thing. There's no way I have time to hunt down every single player, and it totally makes the league less fun when there are delinquently slow players. Also we have so many players at this point that it really doesn't hurt to lose some. Any thoughts, or are you guys totally fine if I just start booting every slow player (ie hasn't completed multiple games by deadline without telling me any reason why) without mercy?

personally i put all my scores in right at the very end. i know this probably makes me a dick because a lot of my opponents will feel obligated to put in the scores for me. but i still end up going through and checking every one anyway because i've seen some egregious spreadsheet errors over the past few months.

i actually do have 2-3 league games ongoing, but that's because those people challenged me in the past few days.

I say delete the slow f*cks. Make some arbitrary rule, that if you haven't finished 6 games by deadline, then you're booted, and forced bye for at least one season, and can rejoin if you promise not to be a slow F*ck again.

Curtains (and others) go through a lot of work to put this together for us, and the only thing we have to do to show our appreciation is to play our games that they organized for us. That's not much to ask at all, and I think Curtains does not deserve more work.
