Re: Rock Climbing

No Climbing photos trip report...

I took the week off of work after a nightmare month so i decided to head to san diego to the santee boulder area to climb a bit and get out of LA...all the rock seems to be thin crimps and friction climbing with tough mantles and small holds (thats what i've read)...i climbed about 6 or 7 problems mostly consisting of 3-6 moves on low boulders. its was just me with one crash pad on a mostly healed ankle so im not really willing to do anything sketchy or committing...

I did however finally do the sit start on a cool looking boulder that i wasn't able to get the first time i hit santee...the first move was a right foot on a little nub and left leg flagged out to a heel hook on a little bulb at the bottom of the diagonal crack. then just work your way up the crack and over the top...fun little climb

some more random pics

heading back to SD this weekend to do some guided top roping on a livingsocial deal with some friends. hopefully they get the climbing bug too...

Re: Rock Climbing

I'm apparently quite fond of slamming my shins into holds at the gym recently - mostly on either down climbs or attempts to prevent a fall by swinging feet for holds. No idea why it suddenly started happening either.

Grrr

only downside is the snow and the cold. Obviously i'll post some pics if it pans out. I mean, i gotta go if it's on, really, it used to be my local. Climbed my first v4 there, first v5 there, first v6, first v7, you get the picture...
