Re: Recommend me some good Hip-Hop OOT

I liked a couple of songs off of it for Bill's verses only. What's Wrong With Bill is an excellent album to me. The production is incredible (huge Necro fan) and Bill kills everything.

I had to turn off Keep Movin On immediately. His punch-ins are so glaringly obvious and it just kills the track. The guy literally punches in EVERY SINGLE BAR.

I think you're misspelling "Stoupe".

Reasonable Doubt a top 100 album. Top ten - never.

astyanax

Uncommon Valor is awesome because of Rugged Man's insane verse and the beat, Vinny didn't have much to do with making that a good song although to be fair i don't think he was terrible

i'm a JMT fan and can deal with Vinny on Psycho Social and VBD but after that he declines pretty quick and without VBD era Jus Allah (who was awesome) i'm left listening to their newer albums only because i love Stoupe's sound and they get some pretty good guests

and i'm not a big Jay Z guy but Vinny > Jay is a ludicrous statement, Jay may have fallen off too but his peak > Vinny's peak and its not really close

The original same story was even better but he couldn't clear the sample because of his reputation. Vinnie said it's the only song he condones pirating so people can hear how he intended it.

Yeah, I don't like much of his new stuff these days, but his production is still great. I can't stand over excessive punch-ins. It goes against what rap is. If you can't rap more than a setup before punching in to the punchline, GTFO.

i'm a big jedi mind tricks fan. i don't really like jay-z outside of a handful of tracks.. but i do think he's more vocally talented than paz.

I mentioned Tony D earlier. His battle with Illmac just dropped. Kills it in the studio as well...

Re: Recommend me some good Hip-Hop OOT

Amsterdam is filled with good hip-hop shows lately.

Went to Big Daddy Kane two weeks ago, Childish Gambino two days ago and going to KRS-One in two weeks. Also shows from The Pharcyde, Cypress Hill, Nas, De La Soul and MF DOOM, all in the same month!
