My favorite so far from I'm Up, so minimalist.

is Jay-Z hands down the best hip hop artist of all time? success, good music, longevity?

Not your personal favorite but overall the best for the audience?

I personally like Gang Starr , Beatnuts, MF doom as my personal favorites, but realize no way they are the best of all time for the masses. Id have to go with Jay-Z and Drake coming on very strong as well, if he's around for another 5-10 years.

Yeh your first 3 are great picks as well, I wouldnt put Nas above Jay Z and Illmatic is my favorite album of all time.
