So many good songs, they are the anti-one hit wonder. Outrageous amount of talent and probably the best rock show I've ever been to.

Oddly enough, the 2000s are far and away the best decade for music ever imo. Maybe not the stupid pop **** like Creed and Nickelback, but there are a ton of good bands with some amazing albums. Try broadening your horizons.

ETA: It is also entirely possible, that the availability of music due to the internet is responsible for my perception of this. I've just been to exposed to hundreds of bands I never would've heard of otherwise.

meh i tried to think of a better band from the past 20 years (what i thought of as "our time") and couldn't. the metric im using in my head is some sort of combination of staying power, relevance, quality and innovation. one of the "lol no" guys give me some other candidates.

I would agree to some extent with the op. While Radiohead are not my favourite band, and I've been to a lot of gigs of bands who I prefer, I still think they are the best band I've ever seen.
