I just had lunch at a fast food place and in my 10 minutes there I witnessed 4 people fill up water cups with soda. Do you guys think this is wrong?
As someone that has managed QSR's in the past and as someone that pays for my drinks when I go out I happen to find this pretty annoying and think it is flat out stealing. My favorite is when the people get Sprite thinking they can hide it. You would think that it would be mostly kids doing this but I've actually seen a lot of adults and some senior citizens doing this.
I agree but you would be shocked at the numerous people that don't think anything is wrong with it. I've had an older lady tell me that she doesn't get refills so doesn't think she should have to pay for it.
Tried this with a friend when we were like 8 on a field trip to an aquarium and this old lady comes out of no where and says "she'd cut our fingers off if we were to try that again"
I dont drink soda so always get water but I'll never forget that
I bet it would happen much less frequently if some companies didn't try to make their entire profit margin from the soda fountain. I'm looking at you, 5 Guys.
At one of my local McDonald's, even the security guards of the mall fill their water bottles regularly with soda without paying. Each soda order costs McD less than 2 cents. It probably costs more for them (mainly in labor) to have employees do the refills. Having employees do so would interrupt order flow and efficiency.
