Yea, that's not true, just from math. I've asked drivers about it.

Tbc i'm not under the illusion i'll be making 60k/yr or whatever bogus number they quote. I thoroughly expect like 10-15 an hour after gas and stuff, and that'd be fine with me. It's just for ****s and gigs and beer money, and the initial investment is practically zero.

What are some good Indian food choices for someone who can't eat spicy food? I'm looking for more than just butter chicken, mutter paneer, chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, and dal dishes. This is for someone who has never had a lassi because she is concerned about Indian being too spicy, so never goes to Indian restaurants.

Unlike jmakin, she does know that Indian food exists. She just doesn't eat it.

Samosas? Saag Paneer? Aloo gobi?

Other than what you mentioned, all I can think of is rice and naan. Lots of naan.

Jmakin,

I fully support your uber endeavor.

I've taken many odd jobs just for fun. For example, laundromat attendant, bartender, commercial consumer food taster, pizza delivery driver, etc. Some are profitable some are not.

Worst case scenario, you get a new life experience and some extra cash.

Pakora is generally safe. Also tandoori mixed grill (rather than just chicken) gets you some variety. A lot of mild curries are so mild I can't tell they're meant to be spicy but whether that's generally true I have no idea.

I think this scenario, in which I changed your post, is worse.

I don't think entitled males are going to have much luck with a page like that. I think a lot of men think "oh, pretty girl, maybe if I donate $10 she'll notice me". I don't think (many) women think that way online.

You changed my post.

Ha!

Nah, I'll just delete my post and laugh last.

jmakin,

my friend ubers in LA. hes making about $10/fare and of course his car is depreciating. he says its ok but not nearly what he was expecting
11-03-2014 , 03:58 AM
and short fares suck because uber takes $1 from the go but as el d said you can't keep turning those down

I think my strategy is gonna be:

get off work at midnight, go to the busy downtown area which has a crowded bar scene 7 nights a week and is very close to work, pick up a fare or two, hopefully get surge pricing and/or tips, maybe do 2 or 3 pickups, go home and be in bed by 2.

and then holidays like new years obv. I think doing this should net me a few hundred extra dollars every month. The first mother****er that tries to smoke in my new car may get me fired though.

My money's on vomit seeing the inside of your car before smoke does.

The aloo gobi at the place near me is pretty spicy. Though can't you just ask them to make pretty much any dish with less heat?

lol at being afraid of an entire cuisine because you heard it's spicy

11-03-2014 , 01:34 PM
In the training video it says you're supposed to initially decline a tip, but people still do it. I usually do it. They never decline lol.

Doing the vehicle inspection today.
