Lot of awesome pictures.

The pictures that need 1000 words to describe what's going on in them don't seem like they fit the thread title, though. Maybe a few words to clarify what it is you're looking at would be ok (Hubble deep field, or whatever), but when you need an essay to describe it it takes something away from the picture.

Ya this. Partly because I think what makes for pics that cause so much wonder, is not knowing exactly the what and whens, and the numerous possibilities, then personal emotions and insights they provoke.

All in all great thread. Will be stealing many of these pics, so ty.

Has this one really not made it in yet? Pretty amazing story on this guy. He wasn't even part of the protests, just coming back from the store (hence the bag). He just on the spur of the moment decided to go confront the column of tanks.
