suzzer, the size and specs of your calender may determine the cropping of some of your photos.

personally, i think if the fence is part of the landscape and original photo, then there's nothing wrong with including it.

Also the whole trip taking to take pictures thing sounds pretty awesome. Do you usually go alone or with someone else? Favorite place to visit and place that you took photos of?
This is just south of Astoria, OR (right near the WA border) I believe.

I have gone alone or with people. Alone is definitely better for picture taking because you can take the back roads whenever you want, stop the car and take pictures of a tree for an hour if you feel like it, etc. But with people is more fun. Southern Utah still has to be the most amazing. But this Northwest coast trip was really cool. Also love the CA deserts and Yosemite. Next summer I hope to do a more inland NW trip, hit Jasper/Banff, Yellowstone, and a bunch of other places.

What you don't see the Milky Way at 100x magnification every time you go night-kayaking?

seems weird to have enough stability in a blowup kayak to catch a meteor/whatever

I think I like the fence version better, personally.

I think the best "version" would be a combination of the two something like this with a bit of the fence and grass cropped from the foreground and a bit higher contrast to bring your eye further into the picture. Though then it's shopped and isn't an original

I'd go so far as to say impossible. Camera was probably on a dock, with the front of the kayak in view.

Or its shopped.

Okay, I just took a moment and examined the full size image.

It is DEFIANTLY Photoshopped.

1) Mask errors and artifacts.

2) Incorrect reflection displacement distance.

3) Lack of reflection distortion due to water surface irregularities.

4) Stars visible on water surface reflection map that are NOT visible in the sky.

5) Difference exclusion map indicates the reflected star field is an *exact* 180 degree mirror (pixel for pixel) - this is not possible if this were a real reflection.

6) The same iris flare is present in the reflection as well as the sky on certain stars. Real life reflection and diffusion attenuation would reduce or remove the iris flares from the reflected stars.

And then I got bored.

for some reason, not sure why, most of the animal pictures really get to me. something about their innocence really makes you feel sorry for them

Prob did not require this level of thought.

Pretty sure it was a Congressman, not a Senator, but w/e. My older brother flew two missions down there in a C-141 to pick up bodies.

I may have missed it if anyone has already mentioned it, but this is the event that put the phrase "Drink the Kool-Aid" into the modern lexicon. A lot of people use this phrase with no idea of its origin.

I'm going to guess Celebration, FL. Whole town built by Disney. White picket fence mandated. Spooky spooky place.

I was thinking that too though idk if that's it. It's actually a pretty cool planned community (studied it while going to school for architecture). Far better than the crap you see in most places.

This is Celebration. I won't get into all the reasons its a great community architecturally but the overall design and use of spaces is very well done.

That place above seems bad because all the houses look the same which would really suck, and that isn't the case in Celebration unless it's a part I haven't seen.
