I can't say for certain that this child had this particular condition, however EB runs in my family. It is no joke. Our family has a milder strain that permits us to reach adulthood, but there are some strains so severe that children die shortly after birth because the act of delivery tears their skin off.

Faith in God makes it possible for people who suffer and their families to bear up under it. What do you do? Pretend its a joke?

Each and every one of us dies. Each and every one of us suffers. No one is immune, and each faces their torment alone, with only God for solace. I pray that you will find solace when your day of suffering is upon you.

haha, back off the serious vibe a bit. What he's saying is that there is not a God that would allow suffering of this level to an innocent to happen.

You're right, the boy had EB. He had the really bad version where the eyes get swollen shut, had to have a trache tube put in, etc... Seems like pretty much one of the worst diseases in the world.
