mattress on the floor is severely under rated
the original purpose of beds was to elevate you so rats and other vermin don't crawl over you in your sleep - we don't really have that need anymore so there's no real reason for a bed
also a big fan of air matresses
sadly though, both absence of a bed and an air mattress will be misinterpreted as you being a broke and classless donkey unless it's done in a proper decor it'll look like a crack house
just present it well and you'll be glad - it does take a few days to mentally adjust to being on the floor though
