^Omayra Sanchez was one of the 25,000 victims of the Nevado del Ruiz (Colombia) volcano which erupted on November 14, 1985. The 13-year old had been trapped in water and concrete for 3 days. The picture was taken shortly before she died.

A good friend of mine actually manages one of the community centers in Ghana that these funds go towards. So, I can assure you that your money will actually be put into action.

There is a chance I might be going to volunteer this winter, although, both he and another friend of mine have been infected with Malaria... So, at the moment, I am not so sure.
