Great thread! i love the joy pets can bring to our lives. I've wanted to get a dog for a long time but am not ready for the commitment.

Here is my families cat, Coco. She is a Siamese mix and around 14 years old

First, upload the pic someplace. I usually use TinyPic: http://tinypic.com/

Then, post the image here. TinyPic will give you a link that's formatted for forum posting, or you can post the link to the .jpg yourself. It should look like

This is my little guy, Cabbie. He was my foster earlier this year, but we're soulmates so I had to keep him.

That is one of the cases, where my asperger doesn't let me grasp the joke. Right? I mean this post had sent me into the spiral of self doubt: Is he joking or not. DS can't be serious here.... Or...

This is Wolf. Wolf is homeless. His person, Susan, is also homeless. I visit them and bring them food and stuff once a week or so. He is a very very very good boy. I wish I could "save" them both but Susan is, at least currently, beyond help. I would really love to scoop him up and rescue him, but Susan needs him more than I do.

Does he need crazy Susan more than he needs you?

It's a legitimate question. Until about six weeks ago she was doing pretty well, all things considered. But since then she's deteriorated substantially. If nothing else I want to make sure he doesn't get sent to a shelter if/when things take a turn for the worse for her. Or if she's ready to really get help I could hold onto him for her until she's able to care for him again.

****ty situation all around

Maybe a collar with your contact on it?

(For Wolf, not Susan)

This being the case, I would ask her if you could please take Wolf for a few days and just leave it at that and see what she says.

My main man Clark. 19 pounds. Demands much cuddle time, where he likes to burrow into my shoulder/neck area.

And that thing is a yorky/beagle/pekingese.

I'd be concerned that Susan had my info.

Do the cat and the dog play together?

laying around doing nothing is something! I'm sure he would say. Also, he's awfully pink... if you give him a small (half to start) dose of otc allergy meds, that should go away. It will make him thirsty and possibly more active.

No, they essentially don't acknowledge each other even though they both make their base in the master bedroom.

Charlie

Not really sure what he is, he was born to a feral cat that decided to stash him and his siblings in a storage room. After a few weeks I put them up on CL and everyone wanted the other two which were fluffy so I ended up keeping him.
