The Lady Di crap had run its course by the 1st day she interned... un-listenable this week imo.

I couldn't disagree more. To me it was the best week they've had in YEARS. Still love them but Ant bitching about politics and OP bitching about management broken up by some B-list guest whose ass they feel they need to kiss has become stale.

I agree. It's stuff I would expect from Stern, not O&A

I absolutely love this youtube. It's like 3 hours long and I just bookmarked it and listen to 15-20min whenever I have free time. Their discussion of how much housing costs there is now killing me. When you unleash Anthony, Louis CK, and Nick DiPaolo on a total ****hole town there is nothing that goes wrong.

Listening to one now with Colin Quinn and they are talking about little people/midgets, whatever is PC now. Someone called them "person McNuggets." I was dying laughing and don't know why this show doesn't get protested more.

Shock jock label is almost as good as being a cartoon. Well, that and Cumia is as lazy as fat Shaq in achieving maximized GOATness.

You'll get there but the fans actually represented themselves well in the Homeless Charlie incident. I recommend Patrice on John Gibson.

Newish one that has been killing me is from 4/29/14. It has Louis Black and then they discuss this twitter account "Fake Roland" who poses as O&A's guest booker and tweets celebrities and ****s with them. He does stuff like tell them not to come in, tries to book guests, asks people to send products, and some fall for it. He actually booked some ex-CIA guy they've had on before for a Tuesday through Friday stint and the guy actually went to NYC, showed up with the intention to do the shows and O&A were like WTF are you doing here? They are all laughing at this.

I think the holiday timing keeps this from becoming a full-blown your mom's box rut roh.

Although part of me wants to see the outrage police get deep into Cumia's catalog. Rotgut. Blackface.

This is gonna blow up.

His twitter feed reads like Stormfront right now. I've never seen a white celeb of his stature dig in his heals like this after being called racist by the media.

I can't wait to see where this goes.

Anthony is a really funny guy, but he has some pretty moronic opinions about race and public safety. When Nick Dipaulo was on a few months ago, their conversation made the show unbearable (and I think ND's hilarious).

That being said, he's been making racist cracks for years, why now? This feels like some ****** has been monitoring his twitter for months just waiting for the appropriate time to pounce. I really hope he manages to blow it all off, but not be too douchechilling about it.

It's the Ann Coulter strategery.

Angry mob: Apologize!

Ann: No. I'd also like to reiterate that John Edwards is a ***. *** *** *** *** ***. ***.

He got fired according to his twitter. I'm guessing the show turns into an unlistenable mess he rest of the summer and ends in October. Been a Good run and surprised it took this long for ants racism to surface in the media

I really don't mind.

They've been mailing it in (can't blame them in that work environment) and they need a good kick in the ass.

Podcast with visual element. Maybe broadcast out of a location at or near the Comedy Cellar. Hopefully afternoon drive with a stocked beer fridge.

I can't imagine opie and Jim Norton going on without him. I wouldn't be surprised if they just ran a "best of" until the contract is up.

Hmmmmm.

Get assaulted by a woman for obvious creepy pic taking, walk to nearest police station, file report, look like the good guy, keep job, suffer no resulting negative consequences, pile up material for next month's worth of shows.

Or.

Get assaulted by a woman for obvious creepy pic taking, go on crazy racist tirade online for millions to see in a city that leans 70% left and is close to 50% minority, get fired, have stain attached to already dirty name forever, look like total fool, attempt to rectify situation by spending July 4th causing further damage by continuing on aforementioned website.

Decisions, decisions.

**** sirius, this sucks. ron bennington (lol not fez) and o&a were pretty much the only reason i had a sub. occasionally use it for music but 95% of the time just use my spotify

i used to listen to both ron and fez/opie anthony all the time, but this year hasn't been too good for either show.

luckily all the comedians from o&a have podcasts now which aren't that bad

Sadly, this is pretty common, as roughly 90% of Americans think 1A = saying anything you want whenever you want with no consequences.

Satrad is pretty much obsolete anyway. I'm sure they'll pop up again with a subscription podcast once their Sirius contract runs out.

I'll probably hang onto my SiriusXM sub until Monday so I can see if Opie and Jim have anything to say about it, then cancel. Supposedly they're getting inundated with cancellations since the news came in. There was a time where Ron and Fez would have kept me around, but that show's been awful since the move (not even considering the ****ty audio quality and the lack of a replay on their new station).

I'd love nothing more than for the company to crash and burn between this and Hoo hoo's eventual retirement in the next few years, but unfortunately I've heard they're pretty flush with cash just through all the deals with car manufacturers.

Yeah, and I'm surprised it took this long for his tweets to get him in trouble. I think what saved him until now is that when Anthony discovered Twitter, the show wasn't as popular as it once was. His twitter account was able to fly under the radar.

It was only a matter of time until the wrong person was alerted to one of his racist rants, though.
