If you make sammiches with slices of cheese, use the slices of cheese to spread the condiments on the bread. One less knife to clean and your life is made simpler.

Move to a city with real parking meters. Seriously, quarters still?

Washington, DC.

Certain areas in Northern Virginia and DC have the newer meters where you can use a credit card and print out a slip, but they are still the minority.

Philly still uses quarters, too...I think NYC does, as well, but I haven't meter parked there in a while.

yeah haha wtf? quarter meters are standard in a lot of "real cities" in this country. there are also the other type, which also accept hard currency, thankfully.

Am I the only one that went to this site to see if Full Tilt's number was there?

I can probably get two months, at least, of facial shaving every five or six days per blade (only because I appreciate my stubble).

I went to a dermatologist for a wart freezing on my hand, after several visits it wasn't going away. I read about the garlic thing, rubbed on the oil from inside the garlic oil pill once a day, gone in a week. (I recommend wrapping it in something as the area will smell like garlic).
Not sure about this, but castor oil and baking soda worked for me when I was in high school. Mix the two into a paste, apply to wart. Cover with Band-aid and change daily. Should be gone within a week.

I'm Canadian and I travel a lot for work, here is my advice:

Aeroplan sucks.

The best rewards program for free flights you can get is RBC AVION. Every year, they have a period when you can exchange your points for 1.5 times British Airways points which can mean a free ticket (taxes only) to europe. Very sweet deals for the Caribbean too. Don't book with their agents though, figure out the flights and connections yourself to avoid fees.

Also, get on board with all the hotel points programs you can get, Priority Club, Starwood, etc. They really add up quick when you travel a lot.

I live in Los Angeles and although credit card meters are coming along, at least 90% of the spaces I park in take change only. I guess I need to move to a different city.

This is one of those threads that really acts as a limtus test for the intelligence/maturity of the poster offering suggestions.

Unshockingly- the ones from the obviously banned BBV4L trolls are pretty ****ing horrible.

Wow - I tried the elevator trick someone posted where you use your scan card + hold down your own floor + select another floor to go to, and it works on the lift in my apartment building (< 2 years old). Practically useless but still kinda cool nonetheless.

The "close doors" button also definitely has a noticeable effect in my lift.

Thanks for this. In addition, double tapping anywhere else instantly zooms in on that area. Awesome!

I just learned yesterday that when listening to music and my iPod is in locked mode, instead of turning on and unlocking and THEN hitting fast forward/rewind/pause, I can double click the center button to bring up those controls while it's still locked.

This may be well known but while we are on the IPhone subject. If your internet is crapping out you can use your IPhone as a temporary modem. Just plug it into your computer. On your Iphone go to Settings > General and then enable tethering. A blue bar will show up on your phone and you can use the 3G network for your internet.

Small print: You need to have at least a 1G data plan and tethering eats data a lot faster than using the internet on your phone.

EDIT: Also, you can take a screenshot of the screen on your phone by holding down the silver button on the top of the phone and the main round button near the bottom.

I get mine from special health stores, but I have a feeling you can find it at organic grocery stores too. Just make sure it's the real organic stuff...the fermenting process it very different and yields a different mixture.

Keep a disposable camera in your glove box, mainly in case you get in a wreck.

You can get big mac sauce added to any product at McDonalds free of charge. When I actually have to eat at McDonalds I'll grab a McChicken, hold the mayo and add Big Mac Sauce instead. Also diced onions and pickles are free to add too. Tomato 35cents

It does not work universally. It does, however, take advantage of human's desire to see causation which is why most people insist it works.

Some of my own:

- Drinking natural apple cidar vinegar mixed with water everyday is very good for you. It can help with acne, weight loss, fatigue, bowel problems, and cleaning your organs. To go further, you can also turn apple cidar vinegar into cheap, effective face wash/body wash products.

- If you're one of the guys that constantly crosses his arms or puts his hands in his pockets...stop. Next time you don't know what to do with your arms/hands, just let them hang by your side and touch your index fingers to your thumbs. Much better body language for most settings.

I'm sure I'll think of more/better ones later

I like the apple cidar and arms crossing one, but why is using a loofah a life trick? I just use a bar of soap. I could see using a washcloth or loofah if you get really dirty but for most 2+2ers I would think a bar of soap is more than enough.
